Pan London Youth Day 1/07/19
On Thursday 13th June, a group of Year 11 students went to the PAN London Youth Day at Alexandra Palace, in London. The event is hosted by the Metropolitan Police and students had the chance to meet and discuss opportunities that are available to them, academically, culturally, socially and career-wise with organisations from the private, public and voluntary sector, as well as having the chance to meet people with a history of achievement in their chosen field of work. There was information stands hosted by the Metropolitan Police Service family, the other Emergency Services and the Armed Forces. Also in attendance, were staff from Premiership Football clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and from the world of Rugby Union - Saracens RFC Foundation and health care professionals giving students advice and guidance on career and job opportunities within professional sport. The students had the opportunity to try a number of interactive attractions, stands and displays from an array of groups, including junior boxing and fitness. The event, which was opened by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, was a great success and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The students behaved impeccably and as always they were a credit to themselves and the College.
