Year 8 Food Technology Lessons 16/03/20

    Students in Year 8 have been completing their practical work on making a two-course meal. Over the past few weeks, the students have been working on making appetising meals using both, meat and alternatives to meat. Their determination and persistence throughout the lessons have allowed the students to produce delicious favours, one of which was a succulent sauce to accompany their spicy meatballs and pasta dish. This task developed their chopping, slicing and dicing skills, allowing them to avoid waste and also reduce the quantity of ingredients used. They are now all able to create a single dish using fresh vegetables, creating either a meat or vegan meal. They were also able to use ginger to make a delicious mouth-watering ginger and mascarpone dessert!
